Privacy Policy
Last updated: 19 July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hatem Sweileh ("we", "us", "our"), operator of the website jofotara.hatemswaileh.com and the JoFotara WooCommerce Pro plugin, collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. It applies to visitors of our website and customers who purchase, activate, or use our plugin.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our website or plugin. For any question, contact us at support@hatemswaileh.com.
Who we are
JoFotara WooCommerce Pro is a commercial WordPress/WooCommerce plugin that helps merchants submit e-invoices to Jordan's national e-invoicing platform ("JoFotara"), issue credit notes on refunds, and print the official QR code on PDF invoices. The plugin is sold and supported by Hatem Sweileh, based in Jordan.
What data we collect and why
Account and purchase data
- Name and email address — to create your account, deliver your license, send receipts, and provide support.
- License keys we issue to you — to identify your purchase and manage your entitlement to updates and support.
- Payment references from PayPal or Paddle — a transaction identifier used to match your payment to your order, issue refunds, and keep accounting records. We never receive or store your full card number.
License activation and anti-piracy data
- The website domain(s) where your license is activated — because each license is domain-locked to a single site, and we need to verify activations and prevent unauthorized reuse.
- Last-validation timestamps — the date and time your plugin last checked in with our licensing server, used to confirm the license is active.
- IP address — collected during license validation and login for security purposes, mainly to throttle abusive requests and protect against fraud. We do not use your IP address to build an advertising profile.
Downloads are watermarked per customer, and licenses may be revoked following a refund or chargeback. This information is processed to protect our intellectual property and enforce our license terms.
Support tickets
- The content of your support requests, including your messages and any optional attachments you choose to send (such as logs or screenshots) — used only to diagnose and resolve your issue.
Please avoid including sensitive personal data or customer records in attachments unless it is necessary to resolve your ticket.
Payment processing
We accept payments through PayPal and Paddle. For card payments, Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record, meaning Paddle processes the transaction, handles billing, and is responsible for the payment relationship, including applicable taxes.
- Your card details are entered directly with PayPal or Paddle and are processed on their systems.
- Your card data never touches our servers and is never stored by us.
- We only receive a payment confirmation and a transaction reference so we can fulfil your order and provide support.
Your use of PayPal and Paddle is also governed by their own privacy policies.
Cookies and session usage
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to keep you signed in:
- Essential/session cookies — to maintain your login session, remember your language preference (Arabic or English), and secure the checkout and account areas.
- Functional cookies — to remember basic preferences.
Payment providers may set their own cookies during checkout. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
How we share data with third parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the business, and only to the extent needed:
- PayPal and Paddle — payment processing and, in Paddle's case, Merchant of Record services.
- Our email/SMTP provider — to send transactional emails such as receipts, license keys, and support replies.
- Our hosting provider — to host the website, licensing server, and support system.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect our rights and the security of our systems.
Data retention
- Account, license, and activation data — kept for as long as your account or license is active, and afterwards as needed to enforce license terms, prevent fraud, and meet legal and tax obligations.
- Payment references — retained as required for accounting and tax record-keeping.
- Support tickets — kept for a reasonable period to maintain a support history and improve our service, then deleted or anonymized.
- Security logs (including IP addresses) — retained only for as long as needed for security and abuse prevention.
How we protect your data
We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encryption in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data, where we are not required to keep it for legal, accounting, or anti-fraud reasons.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@hatemswaileh.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Children
Our website and plugin are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may be communicated by email where appropriate.
Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and any dispute relating to it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Jordan.
